RCSEd International Dental Ambassadors Vacancies
The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh is adding to its network of International Dental Ambassadors (IDAs). This is an exciting opportunity to become a key part of a network of IDAs engaged in promoting the College worldwide. Our current IDAs can be found here.
The Faculty of Dental Surgery (FDS) has a proud history of international engagement. Our International Dental Ambassadors (IDAs) work to support the dental teams and trainees across their countries and global regions.
We do not focus on a particular role within the Dental team for these positions but seek to recruit from our diverse membership, with emphasis on those who have a proven track history of active networking and engagement in their region.
About the Role
The International Dental Ambassador (IDA) will act as an ambassador and key point of contact for College activity in their region or country. They will be responsible for developing and promoting effective and beneficial relationships in their region with the relevant local dental and education training organisations, boards and committees. They should be prepared to act as a point of contact for dental trainees in their region or country, promoting the College examinations and education activity to not only trainees but also the wider dental community locally.

Eligibility
International Dental Ambassadors (IDAs) must hold a minimum of a Dental Membership, have enthusiasm, drive and passion for the development of others and be in good standing with the College. Applicants who are currently not College Members must affiliate with the College prior to confirmation of their appointment. They must not already hold a position of advisor to another UK Medical Royal College, nor take up such a position for the duration of the role, if appointed.
Renumeration
This role is unremunerated and will be carried out on a voluntary basis.
Timeline
We anticipate interviews will take place in June and the outcome of applications will be communicated to you following the meeting of Dental Exec. If successful your appointment will be for a duration of three years.
