Surgeons Quarter promotes, sells and manages all commercial activities held within the College Campus. All profits support the charitable aims of the College which are education, assessment and advancement in surgery.
The Playfair Building, dating back to 1832, is ideal for meetings, private dining and gala dinners in beautiful historic rooms. It is also home to the Surgeons' Hall Museums which houses collections of international importance. The Museum offers tours and private viewings to guests attending events if requested.
The King Khalid Building has been transformed internally from the former St Michael's Church to an outstanding 158-seated auditorium with catering space. This is an ideal venue for lectures, product launches and conferences.
In architectural contrast, the Quincentenary Building is a modern purpose-built conference centre, with a plenary space for up to 300 delegates, three break-out rooms and a multi-functional reception area. The Main Hall also has a sprung dance floor making it ideal for dinner dances for up to 160.
The stunning Prince Philip Building which is accessed from the College Gardens is a beautifully restored building retaining many of the original architectural features. The Prince Philip works well for conferences, social events and weddings.
Ten Hill Place Hotel has 129 bedrooms and a beautifully refurbished public area. Dining here is now seen as a wonderful experience with the Head Chef, Alan Dickson, awarded Chef of the Year for Scotland in 2017.
Surgeons Quarter is part of the Old Town Collection, bringing together two of Edinburgh’s landmark venues, offering a one stop-shop for conferences of up to 750.
