The College are encouraging applications from Fellows and Members of RCSEd in Good Standing in England and Wales. The awards are open to NHS consultant doctors, dentists, on an NHS consultant or academic contract and who are registered on the GMC or GDC specialist list.

The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd) Code of Conduct outlines the ethical, professional and behavioural standards expected of all Fellows, Members and Affiliates, reflecting the College’s commitment to integrity, respect and excellence.

It is the official framework outlining the ethical, professional and behavioural standards expected of all RCSEd members.
It applies to all RCSEd Fellows, Members, Associates, Affiliates and anyone representing the College.
It ensures that members consistently uphold high ethical and professional standards, maintain public trust and support a positive working culture.
It includes behaviour in clinical practice, teaching, assessment, research, communication, leadership and interactions with patients and colleagues.
Breaches may be reviewed by the College and can lead to advice, investigation or disciplinary action depending on severity.
The Code is periodically reviewed to ensure it reflects evolving professional standards and regulatory expectations.
Members can download or view the full Code of Conduct document on the RCSEd website.
