Core Principles for Continuing Professional Development

In June 2016, the Colleges and Faculties agreed the ‘Core Principles for Continuing Professional Development’. The document was also considered by the Academy’s Education Strategy Committee who welcomed the guidance as a modern, clear set of principles that aligns well with the GMC’s recommendations.

This guidance was welcomed and endorsed by the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges and can be viewed here.

In August 2011, the Directors of CPD Sub-Committee of the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges produced a CPD Guidance document which has been approved by College Councils. This Guidance document can be viewed here. We welcome feedback on this document at cpd@rcsed.ac.uk.
