Join RCSEd as an International Surgical Ambassador (ISA)

The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd) is expanding its global network of International Surgical Ambassadors and invites applications from surgical professionals based in Egypt, Malaysia and Sri Lanka.

RCSEd International Surgical Ambassadors (ISAs) play an important role in strengthening the College’s engagement with the surgical profession in their respective regions. Working with RCSEd, they help foster relationships with local surgical associations, educational institutions and relevant professional bodies while raising awareness of RCSEd’s examinations, educational programmes and professional development opportunities.

The role offers an opportunity to contribute to surgical education beyond one’s immediate professional setting, facilitate connections between local surgical communities and an international institution and support greater awareness of educational opportunities available to surgical trainees and practitioners.

The College is extending the application window and the new appointment details are as follows:

• Application deadline: Friday 30 October 2026

• Interviews: November 2026 (online)

• Outcome notification: December 2026

• Appointment period: January 2027–December 2029
