The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, the UK's oldest medical professional body, has launched a new report focusing on dual consultant operating. Dual Consultant Operating (DCO) is an important feature of modern surgical practice, particularly in those procedures that require input from more than one surgical specialty.

Professor Richard Cure Announced as Next Dean of the Faculty of Dental Surgery and Vice President (Dental)

The Faculty of Dental Surgery is pleased to announce that Professor Richard Cure will be the next Dental Dean. Due to the new Governance arrangements in the College, the Dean of FDS also acts as Vice President (Dental). Professor Cure will take up his position in October 2026 when the current Dean, Professor Grant McIntyre will demit office.
