To update knowledge and increase confidence in the dental management of patients receiving treatment for haem-oncological malignancies
- Provide an overview of haem-oncological malignancies – diagnosis and treatment.
- To recognise how the treatments for haem-oncological malignancies impact on oral health.
- To discuss the provision of dental treatment prior to and during the medical management of these patients.
- To discuss the long-term dental surveillance of these patients.

Specialist in Special Care Dentistry at Liverpool University Dental Hospital
Charlotte graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2012. She then completed her foundation training and dental core trainee roles in the north west of England. She finished specialty training in Special Care Dentistry in October 2019 and is now working as a specialist in Special Care Dentistry at Liverpool University Dental Hospital. Alongside her specialty training, Charlotte was successful in completing a research doctorate with the University of Liverpool, her research focused on the dental management and quality of life of patients receiving allogeneic haematopoietic stem cell transplant. Outside of Special Care Dentistry, Charlotte is a keen runner competing locally for the Liverpool Harriers athletics club and represents Merseyside for the county cross country team.
