Manchester Foundation Surgical Society’s latest surgical skills event!

Following on from his last teaching session - “Introduction to Surgery: Cutting things out and wound closure”, Mr Azam Khan will be presenting on “How to be a Good Assistant in Theatre.”

In this session, he will teach the basics of assisting in theatre and how to get the most out of theatre time as a foundation doctor.

Aims

The aim of this session will be to teach foundation doctors and medical students about the role of an assistant in theatre to allow them to optimise theatre time.

  • Mr Azam Khan - Consultant General Surgeon currently working at Blackpool Victoria Hospital. Azam has a sub speciality interest in Colorectal Surgery.
