At the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, we are committed to supporting equity, diversity and inclusion across our global community. We recognise the importance of ensuring that all members feel heard, respected and supported.
Exam Access Arrangements
The College is committed to ensuring that every candidate undertaking an examination has an equal opportunity to demonstrate their skills, knowledge and abilities. Requests for access arrangements are welcomed from candidates with temporary medical conditions, specific learning difficulties, long-term conditions and/or disabilities.
A new Access Arrangement Policy has recently been introduced, outlining the process for requesting reasonable and discretionary adjustments during examinations.
Access Arrangements Survey
The College is also inviting members to complete a short online survey on its access arrangements policy and procedures.
The closing date is Monday 8 June 2026.
The survey will help the College better understand member experiences and identify opportunities to further improve the delivery of training and examinations.
Members do not need to have previously sat an examination with the College or have used access arrangements in order to participate. Feedback from all members is welcomed.
Get the support you need for your exams. Learn about access arrangements, how to apply and how to appeal if you believe a decision is incorrect by clicking here.
The College thanks members for their time and support.
