President Professor Clare-Ellen McNaught and Vice President Professor Angus Watson were delighted to sign a Letter of Intent with the Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endosurgeons (IAGES) during a ceremony in Chennai on 12 July 2026.
The Letter was signed on behalf of IAGES by its President, Dr. K. Govindaraj, and was witnessed by Professor Sai Krishna Vittal, RCSEd Council Member.
The agreement sets out the two organisations’ shared commitment to advancing surgical education and creating professional development opportunities through joint educational initiatives and promotion of one other's activities. The collaboration will also explore opportunities for reciprocal observerships and the accreditation of selected educational programmes, supporting high-quality training and international cooperation.
