RCSEd is delighted to announce that the 2025 Chennai Exam Prize has been awarded to Dr Nawaz Usman to recognise his achievement of being the highest scoring candidate at this year's Chennai MRCS Exam diet. Congratulations.
The Chennai Prize, and New Tamil Nadu Professional Development Grant seek to celebrate and champion surgical careers in the region and has been made possible by the generosity of the Court of Benefactors, Chennai.
I am grateful to the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh for this recognition. The MRCS exam in Chennai was a unique experience, supported by examiners who created an encouraging environment that allowed me to perform at my best. Looking ahead, I hope to pursue advanced training in HPB surgery and contribute to improving surgical care.
