Nominations Sought for Dean of the Faculty of Dental Surgery

The Faculty of Dental Surgery is seeking nominations for the role of Dental Dean which will become vacant at the Dental AGM in 2023 when the current Dean, Professor Philip Taylor, will come to the end of his term of office.

Nominees for Dean must be a past or present elected member of Dental Council and a Dental Fellow of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, in good standing with the College and their regulator.

Eligible Fellows who wish to be nominated and considered for election for the role can find further information and a nomination form in the documents at the bottom of this page. The nomination must be supported by two RCSEd College Fellows in good standing. 

The Dean will serve for a three-year term, with an estimated time commitment of around 3 days per week (although this may vary, depending on any additional duties).

The deadline for nominations is 09:00 on Monday 27 March 2023. 

In the event that there is more than one valid nominee, the Dean will be elected by a ballot of Dental Council in accordance with College Law 69.
