The FST medal aspires to recognise clinical and/or academic professionals who have championed and contributed to excellence in surgical education and training .
Nominations must be for individuals, in the UK or Internationally, who are clinical or academic professionals that have shown excellence in the following areas:
- Distinguished profile in the field of surgical training
- Consistent or outstanding commitment to surgical training
- Innovation or excellence in the field
- Positive impact on trainees or service
- Influencing others
- Charitable or benevolent activity
Nominations should be made online with the support of a seconder. Self nomination is not permitted
There is no requirement for the nominee, nominator or seconder to be affiliated with the FST or RCSEd.
