Interim Faculty Advisory Board (FAB) Members

The Faculty of Remote, Rural and Humanitarian Healthcare have appointed their first Faculty Advisory Board (FAB). This is a key step in the development of the Faculty’s governance and the Interim FAB will play a pivotal role in supporting and advising the Faculty Executive Committee. FAB members will also help to inform the future development of the Faculty by advising on a wide range of professional issues in remote, rural and humanitarian healthcare.

FRRHH's Interim FAB reflects the diversity of those working in remote, rural and humanitarian healthcare and brings decades worth of knowledge and experience to the Faculty. The FAB members come from a range of backgrounds both clinical and non-clinical, and include academics, military personnel, charity directors, and representatives from the NHS, WHO, and MSF. Members also range from trainees to those at senior level in a variety of medical disciplines and specialties.

Geographically, the Interim FAB includes representatives from Australia, Bangladesh, Uganda, the UK and USA.

The Interim FAB will be led by Co-Chairs, Sir Lewis Ritchie and Dr Alistair Fraser who have been appointed by the Executive Committee. Both have been closely involved and influential in the development of the Faculty since its inception and, between them, they bring a wealth of experience and expertise.
