We have returned from the beautiful central Scottish Highlands full of inspiration and a renewed dedication to supporting the development of remote, rural and humanitarian healthcare professionals. Rethinking Remote 2022 was a resounding success and we are already looking forward to the next conference in 2024.

In this article we welcome our newest Organisation Member, the University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN). UCLAN’s National Centre for Remote and Rural Medicine, has recently published an excellent piece of research highlighting the scale of healthcare inequalities in rural communities.
