  • RCSEd Social Media Platform Update

    RCSEd uses a range of digital channels to engage with its members and the wider healthcare community. We regularly review these platforms to ensure they remain effective, appropriate and aligned with the values of the College. Following a review of the changes to the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), RCSEd has taken the decision to stop posting on the platform.

  • Global CARE Announces Strategic Partnership with Kids Operating Room

    An official Memorandum of Understanding was signed on 2 March 2026 between The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and Kids Operating Room, formalising a strategic partnership between the two organisations. The agreement was signed by Professor Angus Watson on behalf of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and by the MBE-awarded Co-Founder of Kids Operating Room on behalf of the charity.

  • Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh Meets MSPs at Holyrood to Discuss Cancer Care

    During a roundtable with MSPs at Holyrood, the College launched its surgical and dental manifestos ahead of the upcoming Scottish elections. They underline the importance of expanding day case facilities and National Treatment Centres to reduce waiting lists, tackling persistent health inequalities, and investing in education and training to recruit and retain Scotland’s healthcare workforce.
