FPC Membership Levels
Are you an RCSEd Member or Fellow?
If yes, you can become an Affiliate, Member or Fellow (invitation only) of the Faculty of Perioperative Care with a FREE subscription. You will only need to pay a one-off joining fee.
FPC Affiliate
To apply to be an Affiliate of the FPC you should be a perioperative practitioner in the UK. This includes SCPs, SFAs, Advanced Scrub Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Physician Associates, Transplant Co-ordinators and those in similar roles. Trainees who meet the entry requirements are also welcome to apply.
Please submit:
- A completed application form.
- A letter/email of support from your employing organisation/educational establishment confirming that you are working/training in a perioperative role.
- A one or two page CV.
SCP Trainees one of the accredited MSc Surgical Care Practice courses should contact their programme lead to access complimentary Affiliate membership.
FPC Member
To apply be a Member of the FPC you should be an SCP (or equivalent), however, application is open to all perioperative practitioners in the UK who can satisfy the evidence requirements.
Please submit:
- A completed application form.
- A letter/email of support from your employing organisation confirming that you are working in a perioperative role.
- Evidence to satisfy the requirements of the Knowledge, Technical Skills, Non-Technical Skills, Leadership and Audit/Research domains in the Professional Experience section of the application form.
FPC Fellow
Fellowship is currently by invitation only.
How to Apply for FPC Membership
New memberships launching in late 2026!
The Faculty has given careful thought to how it can best support its members. Later this year, we will be introducing a new, more accessible membership structure alongside a new online application process. For the first time, this will include the opportunity to apply for Fellowship of the Faculty.
