Will has had a long history of working prominently within dental education in the UK sitting on many Royal College, COPDEND, Welsh Government, and National committees particularly in relation to specialty training and associated examinations. He has been Clinical Director of both Hospital and Community Dental Services in Cardiff, and a previous President of the British Society of Periodontology. Will is an Honorary Senior Lecturer in Restorative Dentistry at Cardiff Dental Hospital and Associate Dean for Dental Specialty Training in Health Education and Improvement Wales.

Will is Vice Dean of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (FDS) of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd) and has been a Council member of FDS since 2014. He was Convenor for Part 2 MFDS Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh and Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow 2010-2017 and Chair of the Specialty Advisory Board in Restorative Dentistry 2020-2023.

Richard is a registered specialist in Orthodontics and examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. He is Associate Clinical Professor, Head of Dentistry Studies and Director of Orthodontics at The University of Warwick and Course Director of Orthodontics at Peninsula Dental School. He is a member of RCS Edinburgh Dental Council, a Fellow of the Faculty of Dental Trainers of RCS Edinburgh, a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, Editor in Chief of a scientific journal and sits on several other Editorial and Scientific Advisory Boards. He is a GDC Education Associate and Orthodontic Advisor for Public Health England West Midlands and a Medico-Legal Expert Witness to defence societies. He is an External Examiner for both UK and international Universities. Leamington Spa Orthodontics is a General Dental Council and University approved outreach training centre. His PhD is in Clinical Education, where he researched interprofessional education of the orthodontic team. He is a contributing author of the Oxford Dictionary of Dentistry, has published several papers and is currently co-writing a new textbook in orthodontics. Richard is also co-founder of Orthodontic Team Training, which he jointly set up in 2005, aiming to deliver high quality education initially for the whole orthodontic team, including orthodontic nurses, therapists and postgraduate Masters students.

Kate is an NHS Associate Dentist and Foundation Training Educational Supervisor at Billingham Dental in the northeast of England. An Associate member of the Faculty of Dental Trainers since 2018, she was awarded full Membership in 2024. Within the wider college, Kate is an Early Careers Ambassador for the Faculty of Dental Surgery and a Member of the Primary Dental Care Advisory Board. Graduating from the University of Dundee in 2014 with commendation, she also holds a master’s degree in Healthcare Law and Ethics and a diploma in Facilitating Learning in Healthcare Practice.

Emma has worked in dentistry for nearly 30 years, firstly as a Dental Nurse, then subsequently graduating from the University of Sheffield in 2001 with diplomas in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy. Emma obtained a BSc in Dental Studies for Dental Care Professionals from the University of Central Lancashire in 2015. Emma began her career in academia in 2004, which saw her return to the University of Sheffield as a clinical tutor on the Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy programme. Emma became the Programme Director for Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy in 2010 and has other responsibilities, such as Admissions Tutor, and the Deputy Director for Education at the School of Clinical Dentistry. In January 2025, Emma was promoted to Professor in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy, making Emma the first Professor in this field in the UK. In addition, Emma has undertaken several roles with the British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy (BSDHT), one of which has been the Tutor Representative for 11 years, and she has recently been elected to the BSDHT Council. She was also Chair of the Diplomas in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy for the Royal College of Surgeons, England, between 2018 and 2022.

Graeme Bryce joined the Royal Navy Dental Service in 1999 on a Naval Cadetship whilst studying for a BDS at Glasgow University. In 2001 he completed All Arms Commando Course and subsequently served with 45 CDO and 40 CDO Royal Marine Units, deploying on multiple land and sea operations. He completed an MSc in Endodontics in 2007, passed his MEndo RCS in 2011 and was subsequently admitted on to the Endodontic Specialist list. In 2012, he started Restorative Specialist Training and was subsequently appointed as a Consultant in Restorative Dentistry to the Defence Centre for Rehabilitative Dentistry in 2017. Subsequently, he has led the transformation of military restorative care pathways, via the development and integration of a military Managed Clinical Network (MCN). Innovation has been crucial to the success of this MCN, with the adoption of digital platforms that improved patient access to care and the procurement of intra-oral scanning equipment, to fully digitize prosthetic treatment pathways. Graeme is serving a second term as the Defence Specialist Advisor in Restorative Dentistry and still deploys afloat frequently. On a broader professional level, he serves as an Associate Professor at Plymouth University, lectures extensively and serves the RCS Edinburgh as both an examiner and as an Executive Committee Member of the Faculty of Dental Training. He has published over 25 peer-reviewed journal papers.

Stephanie began her career in dentistry as a trainee dental nurse, progressing to qualify as a dental hygienist and therapist before moving into education and leadership gaining qualifications in education and training, internal quality assurance, and strategic management and leadership. Stephanie has experience in delivering and developing training courses in areas such as fluoride varnish application, practice management, dental reception skills, infection prevention and control, and safeguarding. She is passionate about strengthening team capability to create efficient, patient-centred dental care professionals. Alongside her educational work, she continues to practise part-time as a dental hygienist and serves as a practice manager in Hampshire.

Jonathan is a Senior Clinical Teacher in Restorative Dentistry at the School of Clinical Dentistry, University of Sheffield. Jonathan is particularly passionate about clinical skills teaching and simulation and leads numerous courses in this field. His educational research focuses on curriculum development and educational practices across Europe. Additionally, Jonathan's research on environmental sustainability has led to policy changes in the UK and Europe. Jonathan also represents the UK & Ireland on ADEE's (Association for Dental Education in Europe) Graduating European Dentist curriculum taskforce.

Gabriel is a dental educator, clinician, and public health practitioner committed to improving oral healthcare for ageing and underserved populations. As a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Dentistry, National University of Singapore, he plays a key role in developing geriatric and special needs dental education and utilises innovative teaching approaches including community fieldwork to cultivate empathy and practical skills for learners. Gabriel also serves as the Programme Director of the Graduate Diploma in Geriatric Dentistry, where he leads training of dental graduates to address the oral health challenges faced by older adults. Gabriel previously assisted the FDT with our International Strategy.

Mr Zahid Raza is a Consultant Vascular Surgeon at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. His particular interests include vascular access and open aortic surgery. He is the past Deputy Convenor of RCSEd Exams as well as the Regional Surgical Advisor for Edinburgh. He has an interest in postgraduate exams and teaching. He runs the Edinburgh MRCS prep course nationally and internationally and has been an examiner for the college since 2004.
