The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh is proud to announce that Dr Steffi Kar Kei Yuen has been successfully appointed as the first Li Shu Fan International Professor.
Dr Yuen, as the first Li Shu Fan International Professor, will embark on a year of activity, supporting both the Li Shu Fan Medical Foundation and the College at a number of annual meetings, educational activities lectures associated with her speciality; endourology. Alongside this, Dr Yuen, will also undertake a research project entitled: FLEXible Ureteroscopy with Flexible and Navigable Suction Ureteral Access Sheaths; a prospective global treatment Outcomes Registry in treatment of nephrolithiasis.
The Li Shu Fan International Professorship was established between the RCSEd and The Li Shu Fan Medical Foundation of Hong Kong to promote the exchange of knowledge and drive forward medical excellence and innovation in honour of its namesake, Dr Li Shu Fan.
