I’m delighted to invite you to register for RCSEd’s Afternoon Symposium 'Managing dental patients' pain and anxiety: everyone' s challenge' on 18 September 2025. The event will be of interest to all clinicians interested in managing anxious patients, with a focus on practical strategies for managing dental anxiety. Covering both pharmacological techniques, like nitrous oxide sedation and the latest IV agent and nonpharmacological approaches, the event aims to equip attendees with the tools to enhance patient care.
Sessions will also include an update on local anaesthetic techniques, advice on recognising and managing facial pain, and expert input on psychological approaches to anxiety. Attendees will hear from a panel of leading voices in the field, including Professor Grant McIntyre, Professor Tim Newton, and Dr Bryan Kerr.
