Faculty of Surgical Trainers
RCSEd Fellows and Members get free subscription rates to join the Faculty of Surgical Trainers. The Faculty aims to support and develop surgeons in their role as surgical trainers, and to increase the profile and recognition of surgical education and training to further enhance patient safety.
The Regional Surgical Adviser Network
Access to our Regional Adviser Network. This initiative has seen the College establish teams of consultant surgeons from local hospitals who hold the posts of Regional Surgical Advisers (RSAs). RSAs are in place across the whole of the UK and act locally as a focal point of contact for all RCSEd Fellows, Members and Affiliates, as well as arranging activities to encourage involvement with the College. They are available for advice and support as well as facilitating networking and discussion.
Fellows, Members and Affiliates get quarterly copies of the College's award-winning publication Surgeons' News, of which they can contribute, as we as access to the College's journal, The Surgeon.
Our Boards and Committees
As a Fellow or Member of the College you will have opportunities to become a member of one of our boards and committees which actively influence developments not only within the College but across the profession as a whole.
Surgeons' Hall Museums (SHM) are owned by The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd) and consist of the Wohl Pathology Museum, the History of Surgery Museum and The Dental Collection. Privilege Cards for our Food & Beverage Outlets
All Fellows, Members and Affiliates are entitled to a Privilege Card which entitles them to a 15% discount on food and beverage in all our outlets including our newly opened Café 1505. You can request one from our College Reception Team.
