International Postgraduate Deanery Activities and Events

Explore our induction events designed to support international medical graduates as they begin or continue their NHS journey.

The International Postgraduate Deanery (IPD) team delivers two inductions each year to welcome international medical graduates from around the world who come to work and train in the NHS and develop their surgical skills and competencies. This two-day event is designed to ensure they make the most of their time in the NHS, and to provide them with the non-technical skills required to ensure they can hit the ground running.

The first RCSEd UK Induction for International Trainees of 2025 took place on 26-27 March at the RCSEd Birmingham Regional Centre. The event welcomed new international trainees, providing an opportunity to connect, learn and prepare for their UK training journey.
