About the Competition

RCSEd & Medtronic National Student Surgical Skills Competition 2019/2020 offers tomorrow's surgeons the chance to hone their skills by competing against their peers from across the UK. The aim of the contest is to give final year medical students the opportunity to demonstrate their commitment and skills through a series of surgical tasks. We welcome students with no prior surgical experience. The competition also aims to promote the benefits of choosing a career in surgery and to help give future surgeons the confidence to forge their own path in medicine.
