Cessation of the MRCS (ENT) Examination
Following a stakeholder engagement process, ICBSE and the four Surgical Royal Colleges of the UK and in Ireland are announcing that the MRCS (ENT) is being discontinued.

The ICBSE are delighted to announce that the Presidents of the four Royal Surgical Colleges have appointed Mr Amr Mohsen as the next ICBSE Chair. Amr Mohsen will succeed John Hines from September 2024 and will serve a three-year term.
Royal Colleges Seek New ICBSE and JCST Chairs
The Presidents of the four Surgical Royal Colleges of the United Kingdom and Ireland invite applications from surgeons with significant relevant experience for the roles of Chair of two key Intercollegiate Committees: ICBSE and JCST.
Important update on the MRCS Part B and DO-HNS Part 2 examinations in the UK and Ireland in February 2021
Due to the current rise in COVID-19 infections, which has led to new lockdown restrictions and increased pressure on the health services in the UK and Ireland, the Intercollegiate Committee for Basic Surgical Examinations (ICBSE) and the four Surgical Royal Colleges of the United Kingdom and in Ireland have taken the difficult decision to cancel the MRCS Part B and DO-HNS Part 2 examinations that had been scheduled to take place in February 2021.
