The Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care are excited to announce that the transfer of the Diploma in Mountain Medicine to the National Centre for Remote and Rural Medicine (NCRRM) at the University of Central Lancashire has now been formally agreed and completed.

We have always believed that this move represents a significant opportunity for the Mountain Medicine programme to be located into an environment dedicated to the development of this specialised area of medicine. The University is extremely happy to take on the new ownership of the programme and offer students the opportunity to enhance their journey through the Diploma programme.

We would also like to thank the Mountain Medicine Faculty for their support whilst the programme has been with us and I hope that their involvement with the programme may continue in its new home and help in shaping the future of the Programme.

We wish everybody concerned in this move the very best for an exciting future.

Professor David Lockey, Chair, Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care.
