COVID-19 Statement for Dental Applicants

As part of the system-wide effort to tackle the current COVID-19 outbreak, dental recruitment events are currently under review. This is in line with the guidance issued by our partners across the UK to limit social contact to contain the spread of the virus.
We realise that this will create concern amongst trainees at a time of great uncertainty for all, and we took the decision to review these events only after considering all the options. We believe that this is necessary given the current public health situation.
We are keen that dental recruitment is disrupted no more than absolutely necessary and, as such, are urgently working with all recruitment teams to reschedule these recruitment events. We expect to have this completed by late May, but obviously all plans will be subject to change, depending on the developing situation. We will update you again with further detail on our plans.
We are in an unprecedented situation and appreciate your patience whilst we work through the many implications for dentists in training. This is a significant undertaking, but our overriding priority is people’s health and wellbeing while delivering our contribution to dealing with the pandemic.
