Applications are invited for the Faculty of Examiners for the Membership in Orthodontics of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MOrth RCSEd). The Faculty of Examiners comprises individuals who can undertake assessment of candidates for the award of the Membership in Orthodontics.
Criteria
Applicants should normally be either a Member or Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in good standing, or be willing to affiliate with RCSEd on approval of their application.
Applicants should normally have held a primary dental qualification for a period of not less than ten years.
Dental Members/Fellows should have held their College diploma for minimum of three years and those with an Intercollegiate Specialist Fellowship should have held this for a minimum of one year.
Experience in training and assessment at postgraduate level would be an advantage.
Training
Training is mandatory for all examiners and online training will be provided by the College.
Successful applicants will be required to attend the examiner training and observe a diet of the examination before being permitted to examine.
All appointed examiners will be expected to contribute to the question bank, agree to undertake examining duties when invited to do so, and attend appropriate further training as required.
Successful applicants will be invited to training on approval of their application.
