The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh are currently looking to recruit new Members for our Research & Funding Sub-Committee (RFSC).
The RFSC supports the College’s mission to improve patient outcomes by facilitating healthcare innovations and promoting equity to education and training.
The RFSC is responsible for the College’s research strategy and overseeing the allocation of the College’s research and funding portfolio. Members also work to support the Development Strategy by facilitating new partnerships and advising needs gaps in the portfolio.

- Applicants can be based in the UK or Internationally
- Applicants can be at any career stage, including trainee level
Committee Information
- The RFSC meets three times a year, 2 of which are digital
- Each meeting requires 2 hours of time, along with preparation by reading and contributing to papers
- Up to 3 hours of scoring monthly may be required
- The term of appointment is 3 years
- Membership of the committee does not attract payment
