Message from RCSEd Vice President to members and fellows of RCSEd who are out there helping in this crisis
RCSEd Dental Ambassadors on Covid-19 - Insights into the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Department
We have been in contact with our Early Career Ambassador, Dr Alex Orchard, who is a Specialty Doctor in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and learned what changes his department has adopted in response to the challenges presented by the COVID-19 outbreak.
New PPE Guidance and Updated Intercollegiate General Surgery Guidance on COVID-19
New PPE guidance has been released yesterday from PHE. It recommends changes to, or clarifies the required PPE in the operating theatre, endoscopy on wards and in the surgical receiving unit.
AOMRC FAQ for appraisal and revalidation during COVID-19
The AOMRC has released an FAQ regarding appraisal and revalidation during COVID-19 which can be found here.
COVID-19 Statement for Dental Applicants
As part of the system wide effort to tackle the current COVID-19 outbreak, dental recruitment events are currently under review. This is in line with the guidance issued by our partners across the UK to limit social contact to contain the spread of the virus.
