After three years as Editor of Surgeons’ News, Roger Currie will be passing the baton to Emma Stapleton. The June edition will see a transitional period, with Emma officially taking on the role for the September issue.

New guidance for hospitals when setting up a new MSK robotic surgical service has been created by the British Orthopaedic Association (BOA) working group, with support from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd) and the Royal College of Surgeons of England (RCSEng).

RCSEd Dental Dean Supports New Guidance on Treating and Preventing Periodontal Diseases

NHS Education Scotland, via the Scottish Dental Clinical Effectiveness Programme (SDCEP) has recently published new, up to date guidance on treating and preventing periodontal diseases, and for the first time has created a website to provide easy access to them for clinicians and their patients.
