The FRRHH Fellowship, launching in May 2021, will facilitate access and exposure of healthcare professionals to different healthcare systems or healthcare contexts in order to develop the knowledge, skill or experience required to work in and support remote, rural and humanitarian healthcare. The fellowship is multi-disciplinary and not focused on one health care professional group or specialty but instead is open to any healthcare professional interested in remote, rural and humanitarian healthcare.
Applicants from any geographical location are welcome to apply and applicants do not have to be from or based in the UK.
Project activity that can be supported by the fellowship includes research, educational activity and projects that provide experience in remote, rural and humanitarian healthcare settings, such as placements, internships and traineeships. Costs that can be covered include travel, research and resources, please note that core costs will not be covered.
The fellowship has a total of £30,000 with a maximum of £5000 to be awarded to applicants. Successful applicants are asked to submit a reflective report of publishable standard that summarises the value of the project and the experience of the applicant. This report will be published in various RCSEd and FRRHH channels.
The application process will open in May 2021 and the deadline for applications is 1 October 2021.
