Robotic Assisted Vascular Surgery is at its infancy except in a few centres where it is routine. The aim of this webinar is to promote the use of robots for Vascular surgery with advantage to the patients. With improving robotic machines it is certainly wort revisiting Vascular surgery.


This webinar will demonstrate what is currently being done in advanced centres, how to go about getting trained in robotic assisted Vascular surgery and how to set up this service.

  • Prof Fabien Thaveau, Robotic Vascular Surgeon, France. He is the Chair of Vascular Surgery in University Hospital in Clermont Ferrand in France. He does Robotic AAA, Aorto Bifemoral bypass, Aorto Renal Bypass, Nut Cracjer Syndrome treatment. He had done many hundreds of Aortic cases.
  • Prof S. Selvakumar, Consulant Vascular Surgeon, Lister Hospital, Stevenage. He is the elected member for the Councilf of Vascular Society, JCIE Board for for Vascular surgery, Examiner for FRCS in Vascular Surgery and FEBVS European exam. He is also Member of Specialty Surgical Board of Vascular surgery of Edinburg College. He is setting up Robotic assisted Vascular surgery in Stevenage.

  • Mr Jherico Ocampo, Lead Robotic Nurse, Lister Hospital, Stevenage. Organising and training for Vascular Robotic Surgery
