Introduction to FST – Application and Engagement

Overview

This webinar will provide an introduction to FST and application for its Membership/ Fellowship. A couple of recently elected fellows (from the UK and India) will join as panellists to share their own experiences.  

Aims

To provide an introduction of the Faculty of Surgical Trainers and its Mission and Vision.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this webinar, attendees should have an understanding of:

- the role of FST in promoting surgical training and

- the opportunities to engage with FST in achieving excellence through training in delivering high quality patient care.

 

Panellists

Our panellists include:

Mr Pragnesh Bhatt

Deputy Director FST. Pragnesh Bhatt qualified as a neurosurgeon in 1987 after training in India and the UK. Currently a consultant neurosurgeon at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, he has a particular interest in complex spinal surgery in both adults and children leading the multidisciplinary team for degenerative spinal conditions. An Honorary Senior Lecturer at NHS Grampian, Pragnesh also sits on the College’s Surgical Specialty Board in Neurosurgery and is a RCSEd Regional Surgical Advisor for the North of Scotland.
