The RCSEd Faculty of Dental Surgery Meet the UAE Dental Community

The RCSEd Faculty of Dental Surgery had the opportunity to meet with the UAE dental community in Dubai at the Global Education Development Centre.
Kindly arranged by International Ambassador Dr Ahmed Eldesouki, the day included talks on the Faculty exam portfolio, the Faculty Education Portfolio, routes to Membership/ Fellowship, an international strategy update, the plans for the year ahead and benefits package for Members and Fellows.
Dental Dean, Professor Phil Taylor commented:
"The Faculty, thanks to the excellent work of our local Ambassador Dr Ahmed Eldesouki in Dubai, were able to meet with over forty members and potential members in the area to present a successful presentation about how the Faculty works and why they should consider being part of the dental family at The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. After that we had a very useful discussion after where we were able to listen to the specific issues faced by our colleagues in the Gulf region. A very fruitful and informative evening further cementing our relationships in the region."
International Ambassador Dr Ahmed Eldesouki commented:
"The day was a great success. Within a few days of opening the registration, all available seats were booked, indicating the high level of interest in the event. The event served as a platform to address various topics that were previously unclear, enabling participants to gain valuable insights. Furthermore, it emphasized the strength, esteemed reputation, and global recognition of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. The exceptional standing of our College has inspired participants to pursue different examinations and Diplomas offered by RCSEd after the event. Thanks for the college’s support and amazing presentations by the Dean, Vice Dean and honorary secretary for making this event a grand success."
