Examiner Vacancies

Applications are invited for Examiners for the Panel of Examiners for the Tri-Collegiate Specialty Membership Examinations in Oral Surgery, Paediatric Dentistry and Special Care Dentistry.

Applicants should be a Dental Fellow or Member of one of the Royal Colleges in the United Kingdom or Ireland. They will have held a primary dental qualification recognised by the General Dental Council for a period of not less than 7 years and have been on the relevant GDC specialist list for a minimum of 3 years.

The Panel of Examiners comprises individuals who can undertake assessment of candidates’ nominated subject in the Specialty Membership exams in Oral Surgery, Paediatric Dentistry and Special Care Dentistry for the award of the appropriate Membership (M Oral Surgery, M Paed Dent or M Spec Care Dent).

Training for all examiners will be provided by the College and all appointed examiners will be expected to contribute to the question bank and attend appropriate further training. Examiners must attend a training course and normally observe a diet of the examination before being permitted to examine. Successful applicants will be invited to training on approval of their application.

The application form, referee form, the criteria for applicants can be found below, and information on the examination can be found on the College website here.
