Consultation on revised Guidelines on Patient Consent for Blood Transfusion
Dear Fellows and Members
Please find below a letter from the Advisory Committee on the Safety of Blood, Tissues and Organs (SaBTO). They seek input from stakeholders on a review of the consent process for patients in receipt of blood, or blood components as part of medical treatment. I think it important that the surgical community has an input into this review. You will find below links to the letter from SaBTO, the draft recommendations and a feedback questionnaire.
The deadline for feedback is 10 July 2020.
