It is with a heavy heart we share the news of the death of Mr Simon Hercules, Medical Director and Head of Neurosurgery at New Hope Medical Centre, Chennai due to COVID-19 on Sunday 19th April.
A well-respected Neurosurgeon, Simon trained at Madras Medical College in Chennai and has been a Fellow of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh since 2001. In his role as Medical Director and Head of Neurosurgery at New Hope Medical Centre, Mr Hercules was described as a kind and affectionate man, who was a hardworking surgeon that went beyond the call of duty to help those in need.
The College gives its thanks to Simon for his dedication in caring for those in need and our heartfelt condolences are with his family, friends, and colleagues at such a difficult time.
