The Process
The Course/Programme Lead is required to submit a completed application form along with the required supporting documentation to Accreditation.
A member of our team will undertake an administrative review of the submission to ensure that all the required information has been received. The submission is then provided to our Clinical and Educational Specialists who conduct a review of the programme against our exacting quality standards and determine the suitability for accreditation. It is at this stage that we may request to arrange attendance at the programme.
Following a successful report from our Specialists, accreditation will be awarded for a defined term. In instances where provisional, interim or conditional accreditation has been awarded, the term duration may vary.
The College will endeavour to respond to all applications within 2 weeks of receiving them. For RCSEd Course Accreditation, applications must be sent at least 4 weeks prior to the scheduled course date to be considered.
Submissions received less than 28 days prior to the scheduled course date are not guaranteed and will incur an additional 50% late submission fee charge.
Please note that the accreditation review process can vary depending on the type of educational activity being considered for accreditation and can take up to 8 weeks for completion.
