Overview
This webinar will provide a practical take on all aspects of Heller’s cardiomyotomy with particular emphasis on operative details. Preoperative patient selection and various other treatment options that are useful for consenting will be discussed, as well as post operative management and the advantages of robotic surgery.
Aims
To provide practical insight to the complexities surrounding the surgical management of Achalasia cardia.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this webinar trainees will understand different modalities of treatment for Achalasia cardia. They will also learn “a technique” of Heller’s cardiomyotomy, as well as technical details and logistic difficulties in this operation and the advantages of robotic surgery over laparoscopy.
