The topic will focus on the anatomy of breast and understanding the pathology, with focus on benign breast diseases and their management.

Ms P.G. Roy

Miss P.G. Roy is the senior Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon at Oxford University Hospitals, UK. She has established a high quality oncoplastic unit for treatment of breast cancer with active engagement in clinical trials and research. She graduated from New Delhi, India and obtained MD degree in research from Dundee University, UK focusing on molecular markers in breast cancer. She did her higher surgical training in Oxford, UK and National Oncoplastic Breast fellowship in Nottingham, UK. She is the principal investigator for national and international trials in breast surgery in Oxford. She is the Surgery Specialty lead for NIHR Thames Valley and South Midlands Cancer Research network. She is a tutor for ABS breast surgery courses and course director of OOPS (Oxford Oncoplastic Breast Surgery course).

 

Ms Gael MacLean 

Gael MacLean has been a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon in Oxford since 2014 and is currently the Clinical Lead. She trained in London, Oxford and Stockholm, Sweden. Gael has a strong educational portfolio and is Secretary for the Faculty of Surgical Trainers based at the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. Raising surgical standards through excellent training is a passion of hers and also improving the experience of trainees returning to training.
