Introduction to the management of oral cancers

Overview

This webinar, aimed at medical undergraduates, will give a brief introduction to the identification and management of oral cancers.

Speakers

Mr Andrew Baldwin

Mr Baldwin was appointed as Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in Manchester in 2003. Specialist interests lie in head and neck cancer with reconstructive surgery, salivary gland disease and dental implant surgery. In addition, Andrew has been engaged in clinical managerial roles locally and regionally, holding previous positions as Head & Neck MDT Lead Clinician, Clinical Director for the Head & Neck directorate, and member of the Greater Manchester and Cheshire Head and Neck Cancer Pathway Board. Currently he is Divisional Clinical Director (Surgery) in his base hospital (North Manchester General Hospital). Within The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, he is Chair of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Surgical Specialty Board, and has just been elected onto the Dental Council (2020). Mr Baldwin has a strong commitment to medical education, undertaking postgraduate and undergraduate teaching within the North West & Mersey Deanery and The University of Manchester.

 

Mr Richard Graham

OMFS higher surgical training North West 2004-2010. Consultant in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery since 2010 based in North Manchester General hospital. BDS Dundee 1993, MBChB Aberdeen 2001, FDSRCS(Eng) 1996, FDSRCS(Ed) 2014, FRCS(OMFS) 2008. Member of Faculty of Surgical Trainers (RCSEd) and Regional Surgical Adviser RCSEd since 2017.
