Overview

This webinar will provide a brief outline of some common issues in mechanics and use of modern fixed appliance systems.

Aims

- To identify the interaction of the archwire and the slot

- To establish the common misconceptions in orthodontic mechanics

- To identify typical issues associated with alignment.

Learning Objectives

By the end of the webinar the student will be able to explain how archwires interact with bracket slots, consider how alignment of teeth will affect all teeth within the appliance and start to develop discriminatory analysis of appliance claims.
