This webinar will present a review of the facial anatomy relevant to facial aesthetics and an update on face lifting procedures.
Review the anatomical layers of the face and a review of face lifting procedures.
By the end of this webinar attendees should have an understanding of:
- Facial anatomy with special reference to the SMAS and fat pads.
- The manipulation of the soft tissues during a face lift and SMAS plication techniques.

Mr Jeff Downie, BDS MBChB MRCS FDS RCS FRCS OMFS
Mr. Jeff Downie is a consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon/Facial Aesthetic Surgeon for the West of Scotland Service. He is also Honorary Senior Lecturer at Glasgow University. Mr Downie graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 1991 with distinctions in Bachelor of Dental Surgery. Following that, he obtained a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Dundee in 1997. He has also been awarded Fellowships in Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons London, Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh and Royal College of Surgeons Glasgow in 2000, 2005 and 2007 respectively. In addition, he has received many distinction awards in areas such as Anatomy, Prosthetics and Radiology. His special interests lie in facial aesthetic, surgical management of skin cancer, orthognathic and reconstructive surgery.
