Groin Hernia Part 2 - Dealing with difficult cases

The RCSEd Surgical Specialty Board (SSB) in General Surgery is delighted to partner with the British Hernia Society in our first ‘Hernia Masterclass Webinar Series’ focussing on the state-of-the-art management of hernias. This series will be suitable for general surgeons at all stages of career. We are particularly keen to encourage surgical trainees in UK and internationally to attend this series.

Difficult and unusual groin hernias in the form of a quiz will be presented and discussed in this webinar. Repairs of inguinal hernias under local anaesthesia will be presented as a “How to do it” format in a step by step fashion.

- Recognise and deal with unusual groin hernias
- Consider the role of repairs under local anaesthesia and choose the correct patient to whom this should be offered.
- By the end of this webinar, participants will be more confident in offering this approach.
