The Faculty of Dental of Dental Surgery visited The Supreme Council of Health for the Kingdom of Bahrain were Dental Dean, Professor Phil Taylor signed a memorandum of understanding with His Excellency Sheikh Mohamed Bin Abdulla Alkhalifa, Head of The Supreme Council of Health.
Dental Dean, Professor Phil Taylor commented:
"We were very honoured to be invited to The Supreme Council of Health for the Kingdom of Bahrain for the signing of the MOU between RCS Edin and Bahrain. We were very honoured to be welcomed by Sheikh Mohamed Bin Abdulla Alkhalifa and senior members of the Bahrain Board of Health who witnessed the signing. I was very honoured to be able to make a short presentation on the work of the College and inform them of how this new MOU could work to both of our advantages to improve dental care in the Kingdom. The dental executive were then given time for discussion and the Bahraini board asked us about our new Diploma examinations and we were able to reassure them as to how they would fit with their new strategy for dental care and how the accreditation scheme would quality assure their training programmes."
This strengthening of positive relations between the College and the Kingdom of Bahrain to further promote dental education was followed by a welcoming reception and a chance for the Dental Faculty to meet with The Supreme Council of Health colleagues and guests.
