Let the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2023 Commence!

Did you know that the campus at the College will once again transform into one of the largest performing spaces for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe?

For the 14^th year, Surgeons Quarter (SQ), the commercial arm of the College, will work closely with renowned festival producers theSpaceUK to host 248 different shows from 4-27 August.

11 theatres within the grounds of RCSEd will provide the venues for a diverse programme of live work, including theatre, comedy, musicals, cabaret and family-friendly entertainment.

Some of the performances will include: the multi award-winning ‘The Blondie Show’ which is a brand-new show, taking you on a journey through the career of Debbie Harry. For Murder Mystery lovers, the award-winning show ‘A Highly Suspect Murder Mystery’ is coming to Edinburgh this summer, with a new hilarious interactive murder mystery which the audience must solve.

To refresh and refuel between the performances, 5 festival bars will be operating throughout the month of August at the College, serving delicious food and drink as well as our very own 1505 Collection which includes 1505 Gin, 1505 Whisky and 1505 Ale.

Courtyard Bar and Ten Hill Square Garden are the two hidden gems where this year’s festival goers will be able to sample Mexican street food, created by SQ’s Executive Chef Dominik Kawalec.

For those who are looking for more of a traditional food offering, SQ’s Café 1505, located in the RCSEd gardens, offers indoor or al fresco dining options. You will be able to get everything from a scrumptious breakfast, ‘grab and go’ lunches, traditional tea and cake to iced frappes and sinful doughnuts.
