The RCSEd Dentsply Sirona Dental Clinical Skills Competition Grand Final took place last week and we can now announce that Gaeun Oh from the Queen Mary University of London is the 1st place winner of the National event.
On winning, Gaeun said:
"It feels absolutely crazy to have won, I didn’t expect this at all. It was such a great experience to be part of this along with all the other competitors who did so well. I’m very overwelled."
Gaeun Oh won a £1000 cheque kindly provided by our valued sponsor Dentsply Sirona and a Digital SLR camera designed for intraoral photography, generously provided by Tom Bereznicki.
Charmaine Ang of University of Birmingham came a close 2nd place, with Chloe Leung of Queen’s University Belfast hot on the heels in 3rd place.
18 regional heats took place throughout the UK and Ireland prior to the Grand Final to give final year dental students the opportunity to scale the summit of their dental career journey with The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh’s support, in a bid to uncover the next generation of dental surgeons.
