On behalf of the Council of the College, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Siong Liau as RCSEd Honorary Treasurer. Siong Liau will take over the role from Mr Alastair Gibson in November 2022.
Siong Liau is an NHS Consultant Surgeon in Hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) Surgery at the HPB Surgical Unit, Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (CUH), with a clinical interest in advanced minimally invasive hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery. Siong is also the Chair of the Surgical Specialty Board (SSB) in General Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
