The Policy Team have continued their work on equality and diversity this week with a meeting of the College’s short life working group to discuss future plans for a campaign on this very important matter during 2021 and beyond. They have also been doing some work on a policy briefing document on burnout and stress of clinicians and on the upcoming staffing challenges for dealing with the COVID-19 backlog.
Discussions were also held this week with HEE and the Independent Healthcare Providers Network on how surgical trainees may continue their training in private hospital settings.
