Overview

Seminar event to update on FRRH activity, welcome new faculty members, introduce new stakeholders to FRRH and to provide a platform for open discussion on the trajectory and activity of the FRRH. This event will serve as a working meeting to gather feedback and input from new FRRH members and stakeholders in remote and rural health. Learning outcomes from the day will be fed back into key work stream activity of the FRRH Executive Committee as well as being displayed on the FRRH webpage and social media channels. Discussion and speaker subjects will focus on the challenges and successes experienced in delivering remote and rural healthcare from a wide range of perspectives. A key workshop will focus on the faculty's work on the creation of a global capabilities framework. This framework will deliver the following; Provide a description of the scope of practice and capabilities required of those working in clinical roles in remote and rural contexts e.g. for healthcare organizations and their employees Provide a foundation against which training providers can align course development for remote and rural health care professionals Act as a basis for development of clinical examinations in remote and rural healthcare. We are delighted to have the following as our speakers; Dr Sundeep Dhillon, Medical Technology Adviser, Case Medicine Dr David Flower, Senior Health Director, BP Dr Brian Davey, Director, Health and Safety, World Bank Group We look forward to welcoming you to RCSEd and to the Faculty of Remote and Rural Healthcare.
